1 Year Later Review of Lippert Solid Step

Posted on May 8, 2023May 8, 2023 By admin

Short answer is YES. We love these things. We had to replace our old steps about a year ago after they had rusted through and become unusable in the middle of a trip. Luckily we had 2 doors and 2 sets of steps and were able to limp home to finish the trip. We debated on getting the replacements similar to what came on the RV (fold out old school RV steps) or upgrade to the Lippert Solid Steps. The Solid Steps were about twice the cost at the time. We had heard good things about them so we went for it.

So was it worth double the money? Absolutely.

Things we love about them:

  • Easy ordering instructions. (see below)
  • Easy Installation (see below)
  • Wide Tread
  • Deep Tread
  • Makes camper more secure when deployed
  • Lots of adjustment for variable terrain
  • Well Built

There are just a couple drawbacks we have found but nothing that would keep us from purchasing another set. The few things we have found not perfect about the steps are:

  • Need to be deployed to enter door because they are stored inside the door frame.
  • The pin that secures the adjustable legs are in a very awkward and hard to access position

I highly recommend getting some Lippert Solid Steps if you are in the market for new steps for your RV
