I have had these type of whistles on my vehicles since I was old enough to drive and my parents always did before that. I have lived in some areas full of whitetail deer and people are always hitting them. I can honestly say that I have only had an encounter with one deer and it was in a work vehicle that did not have whistles.
These things just work. I routinely witness deer out in fields raising their heads as we drive past. On multiple occasions I have seen deer running along side the road swerve to come onto the road and almost “bounce” off the edge of the sound these produce as if there was a fence along the road.
Easy to install with high strength adhesive tape they are peel and stick. One word of warning BE SURE TO INSTALL THEM ON THE CORRECT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. If you install them backward you could actually funnel deer in front of the car.
