I have had 3 situations in my recent past where I had to minimalize my tools and these wrenches were a lifesaver. I can’t say enough about them and at the price point I don’t think you can beat the quality. You can pick them up on Amazon here or keep reading to find out what I have to say about this set.
I mentioned earlier that I had to minimalize my tools at 3 different recent points in my life. The first was getting a job a a maintenance tech at a foundry and we needed to work out of a toolbox in the maintenance room and carry all the tools for each job in a tool bag. It might not seem like a big deal but when the plant was 1/4 mile long and had several pieces of equipment in towers and on the roof so lots of stairs, carrying less is defiantly more. The second was another job change and this time to a remote service tech working out of a van. This time, storage space was at a premium and if I could have a multi purpose tool it was invaluable, allowing me to be able to carry other specialty tools. The current situation that has me loving these wrenches is being on the road Full Time as an RVer. With limited space, limited weight and countless repair situations possible, having these wrenches makes it easier for sure.

This is why I love these things:
- 8 different sizes (available in SAE/Metric) in 2 wrenches
- 12pt sockets which fit 6 different bolt head shapes
- Ratcheting dears and change direction with a flip of the thumb
- Tough as nails, especially for the price point
- Black Oxide coating keeps them easy to clean and maintain
I always want to be fair and point out any bad I have found from a product. 2 quick things that shouldn’t be an issue if addressed up front.
I did have these get surface rust at one point. They were very heavily used and got wet during an outside job in a storm. I DID NOT dry them off and they rusted over a few days. They cleaned right up and it did not affect the functioning of the tool.
The other negative I have experienced was from extreme use and conditions. I routinely put cheater bars on these, broke free seized bolts and likely applied way more force than they were designed for. I also used them in extreme conditions including heat, cold (-30F) dirt, sand and other caustic liquids. I broke the gears out of one of these through this. I would say it did more than expected, but I wanted to mention the failure of the product. I immediately ordered a new set if that says anything.
Check out the video review I did for this set:
If you are looking to slim down your tools, make up a go bag for a handy man side hustle, or just like having good wrenches around, I highly recommend the Crescent 4 in 1 Box Wrench Set.
